Happy Chinese New Year!

Yesterday, February 14th, marked the beginning of the lunar new year; 2010 is the year of the tiger.

Saturday morning, I helped myself to these steamed chinese muffins that my aunt made. Fluffy, but not too sweet, I could eat these for breakfast and dessert. Such a yummy snack! :)

Rib Pot Roast

Rib Pot Roast

Brought from Chicago to Florida, Christmas dinner would never have been the same without this mouthwatering rib pot roast. Rubbing in oil, garlic, and other seasonings, my sister and dad prepared the meat for perfection. With the roast so tender, each bite didn't require sauce to heighten the flavor. My favorite memories of the holidays? The food--and oh yeah, the family that makes it. :)

Like taking pictures? Have you ever taken several shots from the same position, but just can't decide which is best or cannot bring it in your heart to delete them? Never fear! Try setting three images side-to-side, next to each other, in a neat presentation.

For this project, I used three programs: Paint, Irfanview, & Photoshop Elements (I'm sure you could just use Photoshop for everything though).

Homemade Philly Cheesesteak

Homemade Philly Cheesesteak

What do you do with last night's steak dinner leftovers?

Make your own Philly Cheesesteak!

It's simple. Reheat your leftover steak and then slice the meat into thin pieces to your liking. Then, toss the pieces together with stir-fried green peppers and onions (or any other veggies) into a sandwich. Don't forget to add shreds of mozzarella cheese ontop. Let the cheese sit a bit to melt into Philly Cheesesteak goodness. Serve with chips and a drink. Enjoy!

Moby Dick, a review addressing excuses

 Moby Dick?!

Uhg, I am not touching that book!

It's TOO LONG.

It's TOO BORING.

It's TOO DIFFICULT.

It's about a crazy man chasing a whale, so what?

Hmm, let's address these potential excuses concerning distaste reading an American classic.
