RESOLVE, The National Infertility Association, is dedicated to providing education, advocacy and support for men and women struggling with infertility. Established in 1974, it is a non-profit organization with the only established, nationwide network mandated to promote reproductive health and to ensure equal access to all family building options for men and women experiencing infertility or other reproductive disorders.

Food Pantry Seeks Donations for Difficult Time

Niles Township Food Pantry Director Cynthia Carranza meets at least one person in need almost every day she's on the job.

"There are so many people hurting right now because of the recession," she said. "People are struggling like never before. I see people who come here who have lost their jobs. It's practically a daily occurrence."

The Ninth Annual Community Conference on Mental Health will take place May 23rd, 12:45pm, at the Beth Emet The Free Synagogue at 1224 Dempster in Evanston.

 

This year’s panelists and discussion groups will address the varied nature of addiction, its different causes and treatment. The conference will feature nationally recognized experts on addiction who have studied and treated the many aspects of the problem.

 

"Addiction is one of the most prevalent and deadly disorders that plague people. However it is also one of the most treatable once discovered and treatment is begun. It is not something that should be hidden or left untreated." ---Dr. Sheldon Miller, Discovering Hope featured panelist.

We'll wash your dog and clip his nails in order to raise money for animals in need. The Dog Wash takes place on shelter grounds (2310 Oakton) from 9 am to 2 pm.
