Rep. Fine Hosts Property Tax Workshop to Help Homeowners File Appeals
GLENVIEW, IL – To help homeowners lower their property tax bills, state Rep. Laura Fine, D-Glenview, will host a Property Tax Workshop on Tuesday, Sept. 3rd from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Northbrook Public Library, 1201 Cedar Lane, in Northbrook.
“Each year homeowners are forced to pay more in property taxes, while home values continue to decrease,” Fine said. “One thing homeowners can do to help lower their property taxes is file an appeal, but this process can often be confusing. This workshop will provide homeowners with the one-on-one assistance they need to successfully complete their appeal.”
Fine is co-hosting this event with state Reps. Elaine Nekritz, D-Northbrook, and Robyn Gabel, D-Evanston. Employees from the Cook County Assessor’s Office will be on-hand to answer any questions homeowners have about the appeal process and offer individual assistance. The workshop will be held in the Northbrook Library’s Ryan Auditorium.
