Kurdish Attacks Leave Assyrians Vulnerable Throughout Iraq
Skokie is home to many of the Assyrians living in the Chicagoland area. Since the start of the war, these Iraqi Christians have assisted our troops as translators, drivers, and in other ways have put their lives at risk in support of our GIs.
Now they have sustained an attack from Kurkish members of their own country and members of the Assyrian American National Coalition ask for your assistance:

After the Islamic prayers on Friday, December 2nd, hundreds of Kurds staged coordinated attacks against Assyrian businesses, residences, religious sites, and cultural centers in more than half a dozen cities in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq over the course of several hours without any meaningful intervention by the Kurdish authorities. On Monday, December 4th, Assyrian Christians received death threats should they re-open their businesses.
