Niles North Boys Cross Country Team Wins Invite
The Niles North boys cross country team won first place in the Peoria Woodruff Invitational held on September 10. The team was first out of 37 teams, defeating 10 ranked teams in the process.
The Vikings were led by Aron Sebhat’s fifth place finish. He ran a 14:53 on the three-mile course, which eclipsed his personal best by 44 seconds. Also impressive was Tim Vazquez’s 15:15, which earned him 22nd place. Rounding out the top five were Micah Beller (15:28), Carlitos Rangel (15:28) and Dan Noboa (15:52). This was the fastest overall time (76:52) in school history.
The Head Coach for the boys team is Dan Horyn and the Assistant Coach is Bill Sullivan.
