Keeping On The Straight & Narrow

Josh Kanalas of Schaumburg pays close attention to the lanes during Bicycle Safety Day held at Oakton Park. The Skokie Public Safety Commission's annual event went off without a hitch this year under clear skies and mild temperatures.

Children through age 14 participated in a bicycle safety course and tested their knowledge of the law and their ability to properly handle a bicycle. Bicyclists were also able to register their wheels with the Skokie Police Department.
