Studying for Finals

As with all education, high school is a lot of work. SkokieNet volunteer Aleks takes a break from volunteering and acting in school plays to settle down with his books at the Finals Study Hall in the Mary Radmacher room of the Skokie Public Library.

For two days, students from area high schools came into the library to study for finals. In addition to a friendly environment, students were able to work in groups, snacks were provided, and Mr. Balaban, a Skokie resident and high school math and physics teacher at St. Ignatius College Prep, was also gracious enough to come in to tutor students who need extra help.
