Celebrating the 60th Anniversary of India's Republic Day in Skokie

Niles West High School in Skokie was the place to be on January 23rd. It was packed with individuals celebrating the 60th anniversary of India's Republic Day. An assortment of spicy delicacies were served from 5pm in the cafeteria and VIP room. At 7, all present started making their way to the auditorium.

Dancers from several local dance academies, the District 219 high schools, and the University of Illinois at Chicago were joined by singers and dignitaries from as far away as India.

On our way into the building we stopped to speak to Robert Creamer of the Strategic Consulting Group, left; Carolyn Anthony, Director of the Skokie Public Library, center; and Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky.
