Little Rabbit Finds His Way
Submitted by skokienet on October 15, 2008 - 11:45am.

Little Rabbit, a Potawatomi Indian boy, lives in the area that will become Niles Township (Skokie, Illinois). While his father and older brother have left to help keep American settlers from taking their land, he must stay behind with the women, children and older men. He discovers that becoming an adult depends less upon the strength of a warrior and more on the Little Rabbit within. http://skokienet.org/skokienet.now/littlerabbit/ links to the digital version of the children's book on Skokie history written by Susan Van Dusen and illustrated by Kathy Passi.
