The 2008 Teen Appreciation Event was a Blast!

The 2008 Teen Appreciation Event was on August 14 and it was a lot of fun. There were a lot of volunteers who helped out in different ways and I was very happy to meet them all. Every one of us recieved a very nice gift, ate, played games, and got to know each other. I met three volunteers who were going to become freshmens at the school I go to, Niles North High School. Not only that, but I played tennis on the Wii. You can see me playing with Aleks at http://skokienet.org/node/14176. I saw two of my friends from school, who I did not know were volunteering. I am glad that I signed up to volunteer this summer because I would of stayed home by myself if I didn't, and would not have had the chance to meet all the wondeful people I met here while volunteering.
