The Art of MIPA: Photography for Love or Money September 19, 2008 – November 14, 2008
This gallery art show showcases the photographic work of members of the Mid-States Imaging and Photographic Association (MIPA) at the Skokie Heritage Museum. MIPA was founded in 1959 to advance the profession of photography by encouraging mutual assistance among members. These members are an "Expert Group" whose backgrounds include experience in Industrial and Commercial Photography and in Graphic Design. Whether shooting pictures for their jobs or out of their love of photography, the professional and student photographers of MIPA make beautiful and striking images. The show will include portrait, landscape, nature, aerial, product, industrial and commercial photography. For more information about the Mid-States Imaging and Photographic Association, please visit www.mipa.info.
The opening reception will be held on Friday, September 19, 2008 from 7:00-9:00 pm.
