The Illinois Small Business Development Center/Duman Microenterprise Center offers workshops, events and individual counseling, provide the help, support and resources needed for developing a business and meeting other entrepreneurs. Micro-business loans are also available for people who qualify.

Several power outages have hit Skokie recently, mostly likely due to harsh weather; heavy winds on Friday, Feb. 29 and heavy snowfall on Feb. 26. As many as 1,300 customers were affected.
