Beginning in January, the Illinois Small Business Development Center/Duman Microenterprise Center will offer business workshops and individual counseling sessions at the Skokie Public Library for people who want to start or expand a small business.



Skokie Theatre Receives $6,000 Grant

Skokie Theater Receives GrantThe renovated Skokie Theater has received a $6,000 grant from the MacArthur Fund For Arts and Culture at The Richard H. Driehaus Foundation.

 

The grant goes into the theater's coffers to continue offering an eclectic mix of programming. "Without grants and donations, we don't survive," said Curtis. Within the last year the theater has received about $49 thousand from grants and corporate sponsors.
